Windmill Hill is located on the highest ground near Gravesend town centre and provides an interesting vantage point to view the surrounding areas and activity on the River Thames.
At the top there is a World War 1 Zeppelin bombsite, a children's play area and a beacon commemorating the advance of the Spanish Armada. It's also a great place to collect conkers in the Autumn.
At the bottom of the hill is Windmill Gardens. This is where you will find ornamental gardens and tennis courts. Near the entrance is a memorial commemorating the losses of two world wars. There are toilets in Windmill Gardens accessed from Clarence Place.
