SHAMROCK FOREST
Have you ever wondered about the history of the Shamrock? The Shamrock or Three Leaf Clover is a symbol of Ireland. St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland , used the Shamrock as a metaphor for the Christian Holy Trinity. Others say it symbolizes Faith, Hope, Love. There are many species of Shamrocks and historians still argue today over which species is the official Shamrock.
St. Patricks day is the 17th of March and Irish citizens wear Shamrocks in their coats or hats as part of the celebration. It is a day of feasting and drinking and the term "drowning the shamrock" was used as a ritual to toast St. Patrick's memory. At the end of the day the Shamrock from a coat or hat is removed and put in the the last glass of punch (or other libations) . After finishing your cup of libations the shamrock should be picked out of the bottom of the cup and thrown over the left shoulder to ward off evil.
The Shamrock is not to be mistaken with the Four Leaf Clover that could bring you good luck finding this cache!
