The cache is a medium sized camo wrapped plastic jar. From the cache site look south. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad was chartered in 1859. Dedicated rail lines came through Snyder in the second decade of the 20th century. Check the date overhead as you face the trestle. The AT and SF Railroad ceased operation in 1969 when it merged with Burlington Northern Railroad.The train which traveled through Snyder over this trestle made a regular route from Sweetwater, Texas to Lubbock, Texas. It was named the Central Texas Express. While you are visiting check the graffiti inside the tunnel. Some are over 50 years old. There are a few obscenities sprayed about but overall most are harmless. As this is a city street there is a bit of traffic so exercise caution. And if Snyder has more than a half inch of rain this road is underwater. There is a little climbing required but easily accomplished. Watch for the typical West Texas critters and thorny bushes
