Geocache Description:

A geocache placed in a little - known woodland area, just outside Aberdeen. From the parking area (room for 2/3 cars), it is a short uphill walk to GZ. From the Backhill Wood website:

"Backhill Wood is a 20 acre Scottish woodland, which stretches across a hilltop. It is home to a huge diversity of flora and fauna, and the diversity of habitats makes the woodland feel much larger, and a real wilderness to be explored. From the entrance, there is a thin strip of larch planatation where badgers can be seen playing after sunset; towards the woodland's centre there is a young evergreen plantation of Sitka Spruce, Norway Spruce and Douglas Fir, which provides cover for Roe Deer and pine nuts for Red Squirrels; on the summit there is a swathe of open grassland and shrubs (resembling a Scottish version of the Masai Mara), and towards the back of the hill there is another larch plantation and areas of naturally regenerated Birch woodland."

I have often driven past this little woodland, and each time noticed the lack of geocache. So on one of these drive - pasts, I decided to give the area an explore, and naturally, took the opportunity to place one myself! Stunning views on way back from GZ.

Cache is size small, and has enough room for a few swaps. Please replace as found.
