The ABC's of Geocaching

B is for BYOP 

That stands for Bring Your Own Pen/Pencil    This is an acronym often used by cache owners to communicate to other geocachers that you will need to bring your own writing utensil in order to sign the cache logbook.   I think that I mentioned this before. Yes, it's that important.

But what can you do if when you get to the cache you find that your pen is dry?  I would suggest one of two things.  If it is not too far back to your vehicle (and you can be the judge on that) go back and grab another pen to use.  My other suggestion is to take a photo of the log that shows the previous cachers names who were there and attach that photo to your online found log. The CO can then easily verify by looking at past logs and the log sheet that you indeed found the cache.
