Benvenuti a Montepertuso, una delle due frazioni del Comune di Positano, detta così per il famoso buco (pertuso in dialetto) nella montagna. La leggenda vuole che sia stata opera della Madonna che così sconfisse il Diavolo. La cache, infatti, ho deciso di lasciarla proprio nei pressi della Chiesa intitolata alla Vergine delle Grazie e dove da piccola mia nonna mi portava il 2 luglio per devozione.
Questo villaggio è amato soprattutto dai trekker perché è un punto di passaggio per coloro che hanno percorso il Sentiero degli Dei oppure provengono dal Faito e le sue vette sulla Alta Via dei Monti Lattari (e vi invito a vedere la splendida serie di geocache degli amici Vesuviano e Bupiteo). E’ possibile fare anche un breve trekking che vi porterà ad attraversare il Buco e non appena troverò informazioni dettagliate, o lo farò, le condividerò in questo listing.
Molti positanesi, in seguito a boom turistico del nuovo millennio, si sono trasferiti qui e quindi l’aria che respirerete sarà più autentica. Il borgo è raggiungibile anche con i mezzi pubblici con il bus locale che dal centro di Positano porta a Nocelle.
CACHE
Si tratta del più grande dei classici contenitori per alimenti, messo tra le rocce nei pressi dell’area giochi. L’idea è che qui possiate lasciare dei travelbug di grandi dimensioni. E’ richiesta grande discrezione nel cercare e grande attenzione nel riporre tutto al suo posto.

Welcome to Montepertuso, one of the two hamlets of Positano, so called because of the famous hole (pertuso in dialect) in the mountain. According to the legend the hole was the work of the Virgin Mary who thus defeated the Devil. In fact, I decided to leave the cache right near the church dedicated to the Virgin of Grace and where as a child my grandmother took me on July 2 for devotion.
The village is especially loved by trekkers because it is a crossing point for those who have traveled the Path of the Gods or come from Faito and its peaks on the Alta Via dei Monti Lattari (and I invite you to see the splendid series of geocaches of friends of mine Vesuviano and Bupiteo). It is also possible to do a short trekking that will take you through the Hole and as soon as I find detailed information, or I’ll do the trekking, I will share it in this listing.
Many people from Positano, following the tourist boom of the new millennium, have moved here and therefore the air you will breathe will be more authentic. The village can also be reached by public transport with the local bus that goes from the center of Positano to Nocelle.
CACHE
This is the largest of the classic food containers, placed among the rocks near the play area. The idea is that you can leave large travelbugs here. Great discretion is required in seeking and great attention in putting everything back in its place.
