A Nocelle la maggior parte delle persone ci arriva dall’alto dopo aver percorso il Sentiero degli Dei ed approda nella piazzetta antistante la Chiesa per una sosta. Troverete una lunga panchina, un paio di fontane nel borgo e dei bagni pubblici.
Se non siete trekker venite ugualmente percorrendo la strada carrabile che dal Bivio di Positano conduce a Montepertuso e poi qui. Alle spalle vi lascerete il glamour della Città Verticale, vi ritroverete tra i boschi in un contesto quasi inimmaginabile per la Costiera Amalfitana.
Sentitevi, però, privilegiati perché fino al 2001 vi sarebbe toccato arrivare a piedi da Montepertuso attraverso il sentiero oppure salire i mille e passa scalini da Arienzo.
E’ incredibile e non so come abbiano fatto da fidanzati i miei bisnonni Alfonso e Graziella, sposi nel 1925: lui di Laurito – tra Praiano e Positano - e lei di qui. Li ho conosciuti entrambi e trascorso molto tempo con loro sul loro, ormai mio, terrazzo a Laurito affacciato su Li Galli e i Faraglioni.

In Nocelle, most people arrive from above after having walked the Path of the Gods and land in the square in front of the Church for a rest. You will find a long bench, a couple of fountains in the village and public toilets.
If you are not a trekker come along the driveway that leads from the Positano junction to Montepertuso and then here. You will leave the glamor of the Vertical City, find in a woods in an almost unimaginable context for the Amalfi Coast.
Feel privileged, however, because until 2001 you would have had to walk from Montepertuso via the path or climb more than thousand steps from Arienzo.
It's incredible and I don't know how my great-grandparents Alfonso and Graziella, married in 1925, did when they were engaged: he from Laurito - between Praiano and Positano - and she from here. (I knew both and spent a lot of time with them in their, now mine, terrace on Li Galli and The Faraglioni.
