Geocache Description:

Forest Lawn Cemetery dates back to the early twentieth century and is considered to be the longest continuously operating business in West Seattle. Although I spotted headstones dating back to the 1920s, this is clearly a modern cemetery and, with very few exceptions, the memorial stones are all set flush into the rolling lawn, creating an expansive grassy area dotted by attractively pruned trees.

None of the 3 caches in this series are within the actual cemetery, but each allows a different view of and approach to it. The main entrance on Sylvan Way is only accessible when coming up from the southeast. Parking from all directions is easiest near the Triangle Park waypoint. If you do visit the cemetery itself, please note that it closes at dusk.

(3/2/2021: There are some fallen holly clippings near GZ, and the drainage runoff means your single step off the sidewalk might be a muddy one, so I've upped the Terrain rating make it worthwhile.)

Happy caching...and congrats to Frisky Biscuits for the FTF!
