Styx was a rock band that started in the 70's. They released "The Grand Illusion" in 1977. This park has nothing to do with the band.
The cache is located in River Styx Park in Medina County. The park was named for the local community. There are three trails and a fishing pond here. The park is a popular place for two and four legged walkers. It is a haven for migrating songbirds so keep your eyes and ears open. I have provided a waypoint for parking. Daytime caching only please. This trails have many elevation changes and mud is a possibility during the Spring and after rain.
This is a plastic container with room for small trade items. It is located near the park pavillion.This path connects to the Red Trail near the top of the hill. Expect some signal bounce due to the tree cover. Check the hint if you need help locating the cache. You will be near the pavillion so be careful not to be seen as you retrieve the cache. All geocaches in Medina County Parks need to be near established trails so do not bushwhack through the forest. Bring a pen to sign the log. Please re-hide the container as you found it for the next cacher to find.
