Geocache Description:

Port Elizabeth Caching Challenge 2020

This event at the German Club in Lorraine is to outline a proposed game to run through the Christmas holidays, and revive our crazy hobby, and get everyone out there for some fun after this crazy year and the lockdown we have had to endure. Who would have thought that in this modern day and age we would be faced with a worldwide pandemic. Its amazing that with all our medical knowledge, the world has not been able to contain this micro-organism. It has brought the great economies of the world to their knees.

So, lets get over it, and get out there to do what we really enjoy “GEOCACHING”

The purpose of this game is to get your imagination and creativity going, leading up to Christmas, to place some quality caches out there, and to make it fun for all, and to get some more caches out in our area, which adds to our proposed mega, that will make it more attractive for out of town cachers to attend, and to showcase our beautiful city.

I last ran this game in 2017, and it was a great success, and those who were not involved could still find all the caches but were not able to take part in the scoring. The last game saw 57 new caches published in and around PE, so this time we are extending the boundries a bit to go from the Sundays river in Colchester in the East, to the Krom river in St Francis in the West. The 2017 game was won by NAVIMATE, but this time there will be a twist to make it more interesting and a lot more competitive. Everyone will have a chance.

Come along to this event and see a presentation of how it will work.

All food and drinks will be for your own account, but it is not necessary to have anything. Just come along and get involved.

Please spread the word to all your fellow cachers, cause the more that take part the more the fun
