A great place to spot a vehicle or simply break up your hike on the NCT. You are required to have a Forest Service pass to park here or face a fine if they should happen to stop by and check. Otherwise, just park over on Elk Hwy right next to this. Paved highway to Free Soil and "The Hof" if you're hungry going west. Paved highway to the east going to Bass Lake Rd and food either at the Oak Grove Tavern in Irons or Na-Tah-Ka near Bass Lake. Please cover the cache well after you have had your way with it since this can be a very busy area.
