On a fine day you will see a wide panorama of Glasgow and beyond. If the weather is bad, you will be glad that it's not very far from the road. You will see the first few windmills of what is destined to be one of Europe's biggest windfarms. Some of the locals were not very keen, but work proceeds (slowly) despite their objections.
Park in the little layby opposite the farm entrance. You will immediately see where to go. At Easter, watch out for eggshells.
The cache is a small airtight tupperware container, not very cunningly hidden. For some strange reason, it gets a bit wet up here. It adds to the character of the place if the logbook is a bit damp, don't you think?
Stop Press!! Work starts today (9/10/06) on erecting the first of 140 turbines. There should be enough whoosh in the end to power 220,000 households. One of them should be mine!
Stop Stop Press!! The final phase officially opens today (20/6/2009). You can now see the windfarm in all its glory. Nearly seven years since the cache was placed. Don't time fly!!
