The Papaitonga Scenic Reserve is one of Horowhenua's best kept secrets!
135 Ha of undisturbed Forest and Wetlands surrounding Lake Waiwiri (more commonly known as Lake Papaitonga) with a simple but lovely bush walk running through it to allow easy access to a couple of viewpoints over the lake.
This cache has been placed near the start of the offshoot of Buller Road that leads to a parking area dedicated to people wanting to walk the track. Please be aware that this road is also used by homeowners, so please don't block the road or their private driveways when looking for this cache.
There is a small layby about 20m from GZ, which is only suitable for about 2 cars, otherwise you would be better off to park at the end of the road and walk back.
