Bonuscache zum Adventure Lab "Rheinbach: Römerkanal"
95,4 Kilometer führte die Eifelwasserleitung von Nettersheim bis Köln und versorgte die antike Römerstadt mit frischem Trinkwasser. Entdeckt mit dem Adventure Lab die Überreste dieser Wasserleitung in Rheinbach: vier erhaltene Teilstücke und eine mittelalterliche Nutzung des Römerkanals. An jeder AL-Station erhaltet ihr einen Wert für diesen Bonus (Werte A bis E).
Im Sommer 2020 hat in Rheinbach, das etwa auf der Hälfte der Strecke des Römerkanals liegt, am Himmeroder Hof ein Infozentrum eröffnet. Der Eintritt ist frei.
Das Adventure kann in jeder beliebigen Reihenfolge gespielt werden, optimalerweise parkt ihr entweder am Himmeroder Wall oder am Bahnhof und geht dann die nummerierte Reihenfolge ab. Für den Bonuscache müsst ihr dann noch einen weiteren Wert an Stage 1 dieses Bonus' sammeln: Auch hier wird noch einmal eindrucksvoll die mittelalterliche Nutzung des Kanals deutlich. Links in der Mauer seht ihr zwei größere Platten des Eifelmarmors, den Kalkablagerungen aus dem Inneren des Römerkanals.

Bonus cache for the Adventure Lab "Rheinbach: Römerkanal"
Over 95,4 kilometers, the antique roman aqueduct carried fresh water from Nettersheim to the city of Cologne. Play the Adventure Lab and discover the remains of this aqueduct and its medieval usage in Rheinbach: four conserved parts of the aqueduct and some medieval construstruction. Every station of the AL provides you with a value for this bonus cache (A to E).
In 2020, a free information center has opened at Himmeroder Hof in Rheinbach, which is located approximately at the half-point of the aqueduct.
The Adventure Lab can be played in any order, for best experience park at Himmeroder Wall or the train station and do them in order. For the bonus you have to find another value at Stage 1 of this bonus: here you will see another impressive example of the aqueducts medieval usage. On the very left hand side, you can see two horizontal blocks of "Eifel marble", the limestone deposits inside the aqueduct.
