This is a bonus cache for the Wellington, the city of wind Adventure Lab. The cache is not at the given coordinates; instead, you have to complete the Adventure Lab to get the information to calculate the coordinates. You can use the link above or use this QR code to get you there:

Wellington, the city of wind
Wellington is widely regarded as the windiest city in the world: wind gusts reach 63 km/h on around 178 days per year. Why is this? The city is perched on the edge of a gap between two land masses (Cook Strait) which funnels the wind. This funnelling is made worse by the mountains either side of the strait; and worse again by NZ being in the middle of the Roaring Forties – strong westerly winds caused by the interaction of warm tropical air and cool antarctic air, and the lack of landmasses at that latitude to act as windbreaks. According to Te Ara:
"Wellingtonians learn to live with the wind, some claiming they even like it. One positive consequence is that air pollution is rarely a problem."
The Adventure Lab takes you to a number of sites where the wind has/has had a significant impact on the city.
The given coordinates of this bonus cache are on the footpath and cycle path near Point Jerningham. Point Jerningham is notoriously windy in the prevailing northerly and strikes dread into the heart of any walker, cyclist or runner as they head into the city – and gives them a thrilling push as they head away in the other direction. Motorcyclists and van drivers also need to take care to ensure they don't lose control in the wind gusts.

What is an Adventure Lab?
An Adventure Lab is a new way to geocache; you must use the Adventure Lab app on your phone to complete it. There are no physical caches to find – all you have to do is navigate to each location and answer a question there to be credited with a find (one for each location).
Here is what you need:
- A mobile phone with the Adventure Lab app. (Links to download the app: Adventure Lab app in Google Play; Adventure Lab app in Apple Store.)
- You must have mobile data – each location needs an internet connection.
- Transport: The locations in this Adventure Lab are several kilometres apart. Public transport will get you to (or near) most locations. Foot/bike/scooter are recommended for the two inner city locations; there is parking available at the other three locations.
Note you can go to the locations in any order.

How do you calculate the coordinates of this cache?
When you answer the question at each location of the Adventure Lab, you will be given a code number, a to e. Put the numbers into the fomulas below to calculate the coordinates:
Latitude part:
- s = b + c
- t = e - b - c
- u = c - b - d
- v = b + c + d
Longitude part:
- w = e - c + b
- x = c - b
- y = a - c
- z = e - a
The final is at S41° 1s.tuv E174° 4w.xyz.
