Geocache Description:

This is a two-stage multicache.  I originally had a field puzzle at Stage 1 based on the digits in the phone number on the plaque on the back of the sign. However, within a month of placing the cache, the DNR replaced the sign. Not only is the new sign less attractive (in my view) but, without the phone number, the original field puzzle was kaput. Luckily, the DNR was kind enough to amend my grant of permission to make the first stage into a physical cache that contains the coords for the final.

The Muggle Queen and I love Havenwoods State Forest!  What isn’t to love about having a beautiful forest in the middle of the city?  (Other than the wild parsnip.  Watch out for wild parsnip.  That stuff is NASTY!).  The Forest is open year round, 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Anyway, the given coordinates take you to a prominent manmade object on the edge of the Havenwoods property.  No parking on Sherman Blvd there, so best to hike down from the Havenwoods parking lot.  The total hike down and back will be a little less than a mile.
