Geocache Description:

Welcome to a very different cemetery tour of Forest Hills Memorial Park.  I definitely took some "artistic license" in creating both the "fictitious" Adventure Lab and Bonus Cache.  The posted coordinates will bring you to the entrance of the cemetery. While exploring the cemetery let your imagination run wild with the theme.  You might just start believing that it is true! The Adventure Lab will bring you to five locations (read descriptions well since there are hints in the write-ups).  Answer the questions right and you will receive coordinates for five more locations to solve this bonus cache.  While visiting the cemetery please give it the respect it deserves and obey all the usual rules while exploring.  Good Luck.

Note: Those who know me know my bonus caches are not a gift but are designed to be challenging (Difficulty = 3.5). This Mystery Cache is not a requirement for completing the Adventure Lab, but is just that, a Bonus geocache that will sharpen your puzzle skills. Please no photos posted from any of the locations, including ground zero.

So you have accepted the challenge of The Forest Hills Labyrinth.  Excellent.

What is a labyrinth you say? Well labyrinths were created from cirles and spirals that would form a meandering but purposeful path to its unicursal, the center of the labyrinth.  Their origins are as mysterious as the patterns they form.  There legends transcend Greek, Roman and even Egyptian mythology.  It is said that over the centuries that some ancient mythological labyrinths have transformed themselves to look like cemeteries.  One such legend mentions a "Forest Hills" labryinth with five secret locations from mythology that hold the keys to finding the labyrinth's unicursal (ground zero).  You can definitely notice Greek, Roman and Egypian influence throughout the cemetery grounds and structures.

To do so you will first need to find the "Elemental Guardians" of Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and Space located within the Adventure Lab labyrinth.  Did I mention the guardians have turned to stone over the centuries?  The  Guardians are said to know the coordinates for the secret locations if you are worthy and can answer their questions.

PLEASE NOTE: If you happen to notice one of my caches needs a little maintenance while you’re out exploring, I’d truly appreciate the help. If the log is full or soggy, feel free to replace it with a fresh one. And if it looks like the container is missing or damaged, you’re welcome to leave a temporary pill bottle or any small container you have on hand. Just drop me a note so I can follow up. Any little bit of help you offer keeps the caches going strong and helps you keep earning those smileys along the way. Happy caching! 😊
