Port Moody Fire Engine #1 is on display very close to the cache. It's a 1949 Mercury M400 ..It had a 110 horsepower flathead V8 , four-speed transmission using square-cut gears that required double clutching to shift and a vacuum operated two-speed rearend. After more than 30 years of service but only 11,955 miles it was taken out of commision but was later fully restored for Expo 86.
