Welcome to Alamance County's newest natural area, opened May of 2020. Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area is a new nature park that provides public access to Alamance County’s largest state-significant natural heritage area. Hikers will enjoy rolling piedmont hills, abundant creeks and streams, and some of the best views in the County. The natural area is home to the highest peak in North Carolina east of Greensboro at 987 feet. The park is currently a work in progress, with additional trails & ammenities planned, but at this time does contain a 2.5 mile loop.
Quick P&G, but I do recommend you take the time to check out the park some time. Quickly proving to be our favorite hike in the area. You're looking for a fairly well concealed micro.
