This is a traditional cache on top of Binevenagh Moutnain. There is car parking a short distance from the cache.
This cache will take you near the cliff edge (but not too near). Do not attempt at night or in bad weather such as windy or foggy days. Do not attempt the cache if you do not feel it is within your abilities and please be mindful of children. There is no fence between you and the cliff edge.
The cache will take you to a high point which will give you sweeping, panoramic views of the land along the south bank of The Foyle River estuary. You can see from Longfield near Eglinton along Magilligan and out to the point and across to the outskirts of Castlerock. Across the waters of The Foyle are the Donegal Hills and in between you can sometimes see gliders riding the thermals Binevenagh generates or on a still day hear the train far below on its coastal Journey from Londonderry/Derry to Coleraine and beyond. If you have them bring binoculars, a flask of coffee and a bun. Sit down and take your time if you can - this view is not to be rushed.
The cache is a pre-formed tube. If is hidden in a natural gap to one side of a large boulder. You do not have to go right to the edge. The boulder is back a bit and I have included spoiler photos as I don't want people climbing about trying to find it. Just for once this is about the scenery not the hunt.
