Building is faux Spanish, two larger buildings joined by long arched hallway (Excerpted from the History Center of San Luis Obispo County).
This is the old site of The Cloisters Inn. In 1925, The Cloisters Inn and a nine-hole golf course were built by E.G. Lewis and the Colony Holding Company. By 1945, The Cloisters Inn fell on hard times and remained vacant for many years. In the 1960s, the old inn burned down due to fires set by transients. Tall Eucalyptus trees still stand and mark the entrance to the former Cloisters Inn.
