This is 6/7 of a geocache series placed by Latino Outdoors and San Antonio River Foundation. A summary of the series can be found here.
Plaza de las Islas (Main Plaza) was the planned city center for San Fernando de Bexar (San Antonio) in the 1730s. The city center was focused around a church and a plaza, while its surrounding streets held the bustling city. Fast-forward in time this plaza, now engulfed by the large city of San Antonio, still stands as a beacon of history and culture.
