Our first location for a Podcast Puzzler cache seemed great to us, but slowly the area got overgrown and we realized after a few logs that it wasn't a very safe place to pull over. In the interest of keeping our fellow geocachers alive, it seemed like a good idea to archive it and move our idea somewhere else. This is a fresh new puzzle, and this time it’s focused on geocaching-related podcasts.
“Podcasting was developed in 2004 by former MTV video jockey Adam Curry and software developer Dave Winer. Curry wrote a program, called iPodder, that enabled him to automatically download Internet radio broadcasts to his iPod. Several developers improved upon his idea, and podcasting was officially born.”

This puzzle cache is intended to introduce our geocaching friends to one of our favorite pastimes, listening to podcasts. We mostly listen in the car, but podcasts can also be listened to in the house, while working out, grocery shopping, etc. Podcasts can be about news and information, stories, current events, how-to, self-help special interests…the list goes on and on. The best part is that podcasts are free to access! All you need is an app on your smart phone or table, or on a PC you can go to the show’s webpage and click on the link to play.

To solve this puzzle, you will need to access some information about the specific podcast show. You will need to find the podcast; locate the season/episode (S:E), the episode number (#), or the date of the episode, and answer the question correctly. It will probably not be necessary to listen to each episode, as the information you are seeking should be listed in the episode’s brief description or in the episode’s show notes (which gives more detailed info about each episode). Just swap out the correct answer’s number for the letter place holder in the following coordinates. And hopefully, you will find a new favorite thing to listen to while you’re out hunting more geocaches!
