Hello, my name is Samboo Bear. I love picnics, and adventures in the outdoors which is why I like geocaching. I used to have a cache for kids at Murwillumbah but it kept on getting muggled. Instead, I thought, why not put a cache for kids here, Its a terrific park close to my home and you can bring your puppy here to have an adventure too.
Some tips for finding my geocache
- You might need an adult or bigger person help you get it from where its hiding. If its too low, the doggles visiting the park might find it, and its a cache for kids not for woofers.
- You'll have to be sneaky when you go to find it and put it back. Is anyone watching you? Put some leaves and stuff on top to help hide it.
- The prizes in the container are 'swaps', if you take something, you should put something in to replace it. Something nice, not rocks or bottle tops, or rubbish.
- Don't leave lollies or chocolate in the container. Ants like lollies and chocolate, I like lollies and chocolate, but I don't like ants.
- Write your name and the date in the logbook to say you found it.
- Tell me about your adventures today when you log your find on the geocaching app or on the website. I love hearing about other people's adventures.
Schuster Park
Schuster Park is a large 68 hectare park at Tallebudgeera. Parking is via Heather St, off Tallebudgeera Road, or on 19th Ave, Elanora and walk across the footbridge opposite Saffron St. It has extensive on and off-leash areas for canines. Dogs off leash should be under effective control and please pickup any droppings (I know not all do). There is a picnic area with BBQs, playground, walking trails, and toliets. If you are bringing rover, please take note of the signage for areas on/off leash and no dogs. Keep your eyes open and look up into the tree canopy. Koalas are often sighted, especially on the southern boundaries with Tallebudgeera Creek.
