Strax intill gömman ligger en jordkällare som är i mycket fint skick. Man kan även se spåren från någon/några byggnader och ana att det varit odlat runtomkring. Vad detta ställe har för historia och vem som har bott här vet jag tyvärr inte. Om ni vet något om detta tar jag tacksamt emot informationen.
Förr i tiden fanns det jordkällare vid så gott som alla gårdar och torp där man förvarade sina baslivsmedel som potatis, rotfrukter, grönsaker och frukt. På vintern skyddade källarens tjocka väggar och jordlagret råvarorna från att frysa och på sommaren mot värme. En annan fördel är att markens naturliga fuktighet gör att varorna inte torkar utan håller sig fina under lång tid.
A little bit from the cache is an earthcellar which is in very nice condition. You can also see the tracks from some buildings and imagine that it's been grown around it. What this place has for history and who have lived here I unfortunately do not know. If you know anything about this I gratefully receive the information.
In the past, there was an earthcellar at almost all farms and cottages where they stored their staple foods as potatoes, root crops, vegetables and fruit. In the winter, protected cellar thick walls and soil materials from freezing and in summer the heat. Another advantage is that the soil's natural moisture makes the goods does not dry but stays fine for a long time.
