I decided to place this cache during a year (2020) that has been strange to say the least and has left many people having to take into account their mental well being/strength where they may not have had to before.
This cache the first of a series and will teach you something about mindfulness at each cache. It is placed on a section of a circuit that I take regularly when I run. It is my most often taken route and the act of running is just one of the things for me that helps in practicing mindfulness.
"Mindfulness is living IN the moment, not living FOR the moment"
Many of us live our lives in the past or future. For example maybe we look at social media hours a day at pictures of what happened yesterday, last week or last year. Maybe we get caught up thinking about something in the future like where to on our next holiday.
These are not bad things more often than not but we miss out on the now through them quite a lot.
While running I find myself more mindful than not as I'm using the quote above. I am aware of my breathing, I take into account the people and happenings around me and through time begin to notice things in a place I frequent that I wouldn't have otherwise. In other words " I live in the moment "
Beside GZ you will find a bench. Maybe take a second to sit and notice something you wouldn't have paid any attention to today otherwise. That could be a flower growing at your feet, a cloud above your head or the dog running across the grass you wouldn't have taken into account on a normal passing day.
If you do this congratulate yourself not only because you found the cache but also for being mindful at least once today.
