On April 10, 2020, the Geocaching community lost a very special person. Kathy (K-Pom) Pomeroy was a beautiful, kind-hearted person who always had a smile on her face and twigs in her hair. She was an adventurer, always planning the next trip, be it a Freaky Fun Friday with her geocaching buddies or travel to someplace far-off with the love of her life, her husband Rick. Kathy was a loving mother and grandmother, and sister to a large brood of brother and sisters.
This cache, placed on Kathy's birhtday (October 2), is in a park near to Kathy's home. It is a place where Kathy had many geocaching adventures, including placing a very well-loved Adventure Lab. For those of you who have known, loved, and cached with our dear friend, please take a moment to reflect on this wonderul person. Think about getting ouchies from an evergreen tree. Ask yourself how many K-Poms wide is it across the nearby stream? Visualize yourself in a funky, wonderful hat.
