In the old school days when we didn’t look up everything on the internet or on our mobile phones, we simply used BOOKS! Sounds unbelievable to the younger ones but it’s the truth!
For translations we had to use special books, called “dictionaries“. They had various colours (mostly green or yellow) and sizes. First they offered two languages (which was helpful) but in the later expert-levels they had to be monolingual (not always that helpful, I’m afraid).
Sometimes I look at them standing in my shelf at home and wonder if someone still needs them? Can we give these books a new chance?
And here you go! This is a travel into your past! Find the dictionary in our lovely public library and write down your log in English, please!
Have lots of fun!
