Golfparken er for mange Aalborgensere et vellidt udflugtsmål. I den nordlige del af parken ligger Sohngårdsholmparken med det tilhørende slot. Sohngårdsholmslot stammer tilbage fra 1886, da den gamle hovedbygning brændte i 1822.
Andre dele af parken benyttes til ridecenter, golfbaner, naturlegeplads, planetarium og bruges til friluftsarrangementer. Planetariet er Danmarks største offentlige tilgængelige linsekikkert og blev bygget i 1988. Fra planetariet og ned mod parkeringspladsen er det muligt at se planetstien, som viser de forskellige planeter i solsystemet.
Dette er en challenge cache, så cachen ligger på koordinatet, men for at kunne logge den skal følgende krav opfyldes:

Golfparken is for many residents from Aalborg a well-liked excursion destination. In the northern part of the park is Sohngårdsholmparken with its castle which dates back to 1886, after the old main building burned down in 1822.
Oher parts of the park are used for equestrian centers, golf courses, nature playground, planetarium, and are used for outdoor events. The planetarium is Denmark's largest publicly available binoculars and was built in 1988. From the planetarium and towards the car park it is possible to see the planetary path, which shows the different planets in the solar system.
