Geocache Description:

This geocache is hidden in the Lawrence de Lange Game Reserve located just outside Queenstown. The reserve is home to a number of white rhino, giraffe, zebra, black wildebeest, eland, kudu, springbuck, as well as other wildlife and a large variety of birdlife. It can be visited by the public daily between 8:00 and 17:00 at a small fee charged per vehicle.

The cache is hidden at the view point at the end of the Madeira Mountain Drive, which is a 5km drive from the gate. The road up the mountain is generally well maintained, but may sometimes be closed after heavy rain. You can enquire about the current state of the road at the entrance gate. Please respect the rules of the reserve as indicated at the entrance.

Enjoy a breath taking view of our beautiful little town and the magnificent mountains in the distance as you search for this cache. It is also well worth taking a game drive around the lower routes of this beautiful reserve.
