Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Tyrone Sunken Garden. A hidden Michigan gem. This mysterious and sometimes forgotten garden is down the valley behind Tyrone Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Stones from all 50 states are arranged here in a Stonehenge-like formation. It has stood for 90 years as it was created by Charles Smith in 1930. Nearby is the shallow meandering Runyan Creek with a nice place for you to sit and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the nearby water. Spend some time here, read the stones, explore the mystery.

This is my first attempt at a multi-cache. This is a two-step cache with with a virtual stage 1 and a final stage with a medium-ish-sized container with a log only. Stage 1 takes you to a large stone that was quarried in Georgia. On top of this stone is the "key" to the coordinates to the final stage.

The final is at: N 42 46.ABC W 083 45.DEF

A= 3rd digit in Cape Town

B= 3rd digit in Havana

C= 1st digit in Cairo

D= 1st digit in Hammerfest

E= 1st digit in Osaka

F= 2nd digit in Geneva

(checksum = 25)

Stage 1 may be muddy at times and please be careful on your way to the final which is a short distance away. There are several trip and slip hazards on the way, hence the terrain rating.

Please no night caching since this is technically in a cemetery. Have fun!
