Public transport from the city hub is via bus 77. It runs through Green Island and Fairfield, generally every 30 minutes including the weekend. Check with the Otago Regional Council website for details.
This toilet block consists of two adjacent self contained units. The outside cladding is aluminium and the roof is of a corrugated material. The doors swing open. To achieve this turn the handle down. Oustide, above the handle is a colour indicator. Green denotes that it is unlocked, but not necessarily unoccupied, and red indicated that the door is locked. These units are locked at night. A notice indicates that currently they are operating on summer time which is from 7:30am to 9:30pm. There is no indication of what the winter hours are, or when they start, but often summer hours run while daylight saving is operating. Inside, the room is not of the usual rectangular shape but has 7 sides. Above the sanitary disposal unit here are 3 sturdy looking coat hooks on which to hang your coats and bags. The hand basin is stainless steel, cold water only. Above is the soap dispenser and above that is a mirror. To the right of all this (when facing) is the warm air hand drier. To the right of that is the stainless steel toilet bowl with the usual white toilet seat and lid. On the wall above the toilet is a stainless steel flush button that you press to operate. On the wall to the right of this (left when seated) is a single roll toilet paper dispenser. Luckily it is of the large roll variety. Currently there is a Covid-19 QR code so don't forget to sign in. The floor is of a grey colour and the walls a very light shade of grey. Ventilation and lighting is good. No mal odour was detected at the time of my visit. Now, pop outside, facing the enclosed playgroung look to your right where you will see a path, lined with bricks with writing on the right hand edge as you walk along. It is information from these bricks that you will need to gather to get the coordinates for the 500ml screw top container that contains the log sheet that you so dearly want to get your hands on.
