The cache is about a kilometre from the actual triple border and the monument that marks it, where I placed a cache a long time ago. However that place is not available these days or it is very difficult to get to so I had to archive it. Three things happened.
1. The Hungarian Government built a double fence along the Hungarian-Serbian border. This place is the end of the fence and the border guards didn't like people moving around there.
2. Then they built a road between Hungary and Serbia and a small border crossing, which is great. But the crossing point buildings are in Hungarian territory so if you want to go to the monument which is officially in Hungary, you need to go through both Hungarian and Serbian checkpoints, and technically leave the EU. :)
3. Finally came the Corona virus epidemic. So if you cross the border (from Hungary) to visit the munument (which is in Hungary) you need to quarantine yourself for two weeks. This would be a big price for a cache.
That's why I placed a new cache a kilometre from the border. (Some day the cache may go back to the monument.)
It is still worth a visit because Kübekháza on the border is a wonderful village. You must stop on the main square and visit the local restaurant. You'll love it.
And you might even try to get to the monument as well.
