Geocache Description:

This is a great flat walk for adults and children to enjoy - about 20 minutes each way at a decent pace.  Keep your eyes peeled for dung beetles, snakes, bones, coyote scat and feathers along your way.  If you're lucky you might also see the elk herd along the creek.

The geocache was hidden in the old crumbling foundation of one of two structures we found near the end of this trail.  If you poke around you will find two different home foundations and an old coral.  We discovered the ruins of these old homes a few months ago on a walkabout with our curious children.  Emery and Wyatt spent time imagining what life was like when these homes were still standing.  What did they farm?  How did they live?  What animals did they have?  Did they have children?  If so, did they go to the second Plainview Elementary on the other side of the bridge?

We looked for hours for a horseshoe to bring home for good luck but never found one.  If you do - send us a picture!
