The true purpose of Villa Sesqui is .....
(you didn't really think we'd tell you that easily did you?)
If you really want to know, this three-stage cache will show you what the structure is about and show you how some other mysterious artifacts in the park relate to it.
Begin your quest by parking at N34 05.506 W080 54.494 in the parking area near the field. The first stage is a short walk from there and the final stage will bring you almost full circle near where you started. Do not park along the road anywhere in the park, it can be dangerous and the rangers enforce "no parking" areas along the roadways.
Stage 1 is a small cylinder container with the coordinates of the second stage inside. You needn't go far from the door of Villa Sesqui to find the first stage. You certainly won't need to trample around in the brush or dig in the dirt.
Because the area around Stage 1 is visited often, please take very good care to conceal the container the same way you found it to prevent accidental discovery. It shouldn't be TOO easy for those who follow you to discover the secret!
Stage 2 is a film canister placed just above waist level. It contains the coordinates for the final stage. It's located about 20 feet off a trail. Over the years the trails have changed, so your mileage may vary. (The white structure you will see is relevant, but it's in someone's backyard, so please view it from a distance).
Stage 3 is a medium-sized rubbermaid tub with room for small trade items. Please re-hide the container as you found it. Remember to replace the lid.
The initial contents of the cache include one appropriate travel bug, a book titled "Into the Mouth of the Cat", some science fiction & fantasy books, and a romance novel or two. And if you need them, one pair of Harry Potter glasses from a special showing of the movie. (There are a also a few trash bags in the cache just in case you see some trash around)
The hike is relatively short, about a mile round trip from the parking lot, but there's a fair elevation change from the Villa to the second stage, so take your time and follow the powerline road until you are quite close. Stage 3 is an easy walk back down the hill towards the parking lot.
This cache was placed with the permission and assistance of the Park Rangers. Say hello to them and share geocaching stories if you meet them. Note that there is an entrance fee for the park.
