Geocache Description:

Suggested Tools: Tweezers, Logsheet Roller

This is a simple micro-sized traditional cache located along the Susquehanna River Walk in Williamsport, PA between the Dam and Market Street Bridge. The cache contains only a small bison tube with no real room for any swag or trackables--log sheet only.

I was walking this path recently with my dog Jake and was surprised to see no one has placed a cache on the path, so I kept my eye out for a nice spot while walking. I remembered I had the perfect extra container at home from another geocache I had put out. This is likely the simplest cache I have hidden to date, however, I hope you still enjoy it anyway. This one is really all about THE VIEW from the River Walk. This cache will be near impossible with snow on the ground. This one is great for bicyclists, families, or those with four-legged friends accompanying them.

Please replace the log sheet neatly and secure the bison tube to prevent weather damage, replace the cache EXACTLY where you found it! This cache is designed to be within reach of geocachers who use a wheelchair.

Hours of Availability:

The River Walk is closed after dusk, please obey all posted signage.

Directions for Tourists:

Parking is accessed from I-180 East, Hepburn Street Exit 27B. If coming from I-180 West, take Exit 28, turn left on Maynard Street and reaccess I-180 East. Watch for Hepburn Street Exit 27B as it comes up quickly. You will see a parking lot straight ahead before you go under the underpass, stay in the right lane.

Handicap Accessibility Note:

This cache should be accessible for people who use a wheelchair, however, you may need a reaching tool to access it. (It's on the ground, however, not immediately adjacent to the path that one could reach from a wheelchair without a reaching/grabbing device of some sort). There is also a rather steep gravel incline at the beginning of the path near the parking area to get up onto the River Walk. Once you are up on the River Walk, the path is flat pavement. The River Walk can alternatively be accessed from Market Street Bridge sidewalk.

Happy Geocaching!
