The Lethbridge Full Moon series has been set up to honour the rich folk history of ghosts and hauntings in Lethbridge, and show you some of my favourite spooky spots. They are being released in time for the second full moon of October 2020, which falls on October 31st. This cache is available day or night, but for your best chance at seeing or feeling a ghostly presence, the whole series can be undertaken at night, preferably during the full moon. Use your common sense (and your sixth sense) to stay safe, and bring a buddy.
Each cache in the series will give you a clue to solve the final mystery cache (Full Moon Final: GC915ZV)
This weird little spot is my favourite feature about this cemetery. It's a creepy little shrine, and what could be more horrifying than gaudy plastic trash? I think about this a lot - what makes it garbage out here but NOT garbage a metre away on the other side of the chainlink? And is it no longer garbage if someone picks it up and intentially weaves it into the chain? Who is the arbiter of junk and reverence?
I humbly suggest that when we visit our loved one's graves that we start the tradition of bringing dried flowers, or a small rock to place at the gravesite rather than plastic flowers.
Until that tradition takes hold, I hope you enjoy this undead botanical garden.
