Lujing Lu (麓景路) is the heart of this area between Xiaobei Lu and the Luhu Lake to the north. Dense urban villages - primarily residential but including shops along the main alleyways - are on the west, while larger and more formal buildings, residences and businesses line the eastern side of the road. A decade ago the African and Middle Eastern presence was much more prominent, completely dominating the shops and businesses and much of the residences too. Now, there is still an African and Middle Eastern flavour, but less pronounced.
