Geocache Description:

Homecoming is a big deal. Whether you are a student, a teacher, a parent, or alumni, Homecoming brings with it a myriad of thoughts and feelings. If you are a teacher, maybe you get stressed out because you are trying to teach students who are pre-occupied with week’s worth of fun activities. And if you are a student, you are excited about a week’s worth of fun activities. You might be a football player who is looking forward to the BIG GAME and your ongoing rivalry with a neighboring school.

Whatever it is, Homecoming is always an exciting time of football, bonfires, parades, dances, and reliving your glory days.

This series takes you around my “old stomping grounds” and you’ll come very close to the homestead where I grew up. A lot of the route follows the old bus route from when I was a kid on the school bus or 45 minutes in the morning. A lot of history for me on this route. Friends, family, and neighbors. This is a real homecoming for me.

This series of caches really has nothing to do with homecoming. It’s just a series of caches to go along with my Community Celebration event. Most of you won’t even read this cache page other than to get the information you need to find the cache, sign the log, and move on to the next one. And that is fine because that’s why the cache is there. No big puzzles, no elaborate write up, just a series of caches to feed our addiction. Have fun and stay safe.

All the caches in this series are preform tubes that are easy finds on sign posts or maybe one or two on a guardrail. If you do the series in numerical order, you’ll drive a big loop that will bring you right back to nearly your starting point.

Have fun and if you are in a group, you can talk about your homecoming memories while you drive from cache to cache.
