Checking on a nearby geocache of mine hidden just a bit over the allowable distance between caches just to the south of this spot. Cache placed on that holiday in October that can never be mentioned ever again for a person that sailed the ocean blue with 3 ships.
There used to be a cache hidden nearby this contraption at one time or another, but it was archived.
Since I have a cache just to the south of this spot, always thought that another cache would be a nice hide here.
Little history of this spot: used to be a C-Store/gas station during the 1990s and early 2000s. C-Store went out of business and was demolished. Became a car dealership for a few years and went out of business. Basically an empty lot ever since then that is now used for Park-N-Rides for people commuting to/from work and a party hang-out for local younger persons.
Best way to get to this spot is to travel I-70 east/west between Junction City/Topeka, KS. When reach intersection with KS Hwy 177, exit interstate and travel north towards Manhattan. parking area will be immediately to the west after about 100 yards or so of traveling north.
Once having entered that parking area, travel NW towards that rather LARGE NANO container. For safety purposes, cache is NOT placed on or in that object, but close by. Barb wire nearby, but there is NO reason to cross any fences. Forgot type of container that I placed, so you will just have to look for yourself!!!! :P
