I love seeing that first glimpse of the magnificent Grand Coulee Dam while driving downhill out of the canyon.
This easy pull-off on Route 174 allows you to stop, stretch your legs and search for a cache.
Note - this is not a typical viewpoint. This cache is named after the first glimpse of the dam as you drive down the road. You can see the top of the dam in the distance at the end of Lake Roosevelt.
The original Downhil Dam View Geocache was relocated to a better location, but because it is farther than 528 feet, this new geocache page had to be made.
