Geocache Description:

Look for a 4” camouflaged tube attached to a tree.  It is not recommended to try and find this during the winter months.  The water will be dangerously cold, and may be covered in ice.

If you are doing the Bulls in a Canoe series for the first time, the put in and pullout spots are the same as listed under El Fartero’s descriptions.

If you have already done the series, you can put in at the Emmons DEC Fishing Access and paddle upstream to the new cache.  It is an easy paddle with very little current. (Not like at the starting point in Colliersville)

I can’t believe El Fartero forgot to put this bull in his B in a C series.  This particular bull was the #1 PBR draft pick in 1936.  Sadly he had only  one ride before retiring.  The rider managed to stay on for the maximum 8 seconds. He actually stayed on for more than a minute, since the bull left the chute, but immediately lay down on the ground sniffing the air.  The rider stayed on for so long because he kept hoping the bull would get up and start bucking.

Of course, this was the famous bull Ferdinand.  Rescued from the Spanish bullfighting circuit, it was hoped he could be turned into a bucking bull.  Unfortunately the only thing that would make him buck is being stung by  a bee, and that is against the rules in PBR.

After leaving PBR, Ferdinand attended Cornell University Agricultural College, earning a degree in floriculture and graduating with highest honors in 1942.  That same year he began working as a mail bull for a major teleflorist delivery corporation, and rapidly worked his way up to CEO by 1955.  He retired from the business world in 1965 and began growing hybrid lilies at his home.  Ferdinand died in 1970, with an estimated net worth of 200 million dollars.
