Eakins Cemetery Traditional Cache

The cemetery was established around 1855 when a neighbor of the Eakins was fatally burned while cooking. It became a coummunity cemetery in 1861 when a infant of another pioneer family was buired at this location and then became know as the Eakins cemetery. The Cemetery is the resting place of the Eakins family and many other Pioneers and their descendents. The Cemetery still continues to serve the rural community.
