This park was established in 1972 I believe it was named after the Winton family that owned the neighborhood grocery store that was located on the corner of H street and Taylor it's since been torn down. It was a wood framed building with a awning in front and a screen door along with the main door that had a cow bell that rang when you entered. The floor was wood, we kids would buy a bag full of candy for a dime and sell our pop bottles.
