I recently found this area and got the idea it would be nice to have a series of caches starting from Knockannavea (https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1064/) and continuing to the Liffey river on the other side of the road. More caches to come, watch the space!
This is the eleventh cache of the series. On a nice sunny day, it can be approached after
Knockannavea to Liffey: #10 Back on Track 2
following the trail starting at 53.2225183N, 6.3924833W
On a windy rainy day, it can be a relatively fast park and grab.
Initially I wanted to place the cache on the Butter Mountain summit. However, I could not find an easy way to get there and I gave up. The name remained though :)
The area is managed by Coillte and the cache is placed in accordance with the 'Leave no trace' principle. Please bring your own pen.
