The Outer Ring bypasses Bangor, from Kilcooley to Ballyholme. Not the most exciting of walks in terms of landmarks but is a good way to get the daily steps up.
This one is around the Newtownards Road Roundabout and has a few interesting places nearby. There is a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more commonly known as Mormon church on the corner with Cleland Park. The 591 (AA) Field Squadron, Royal Engineers has an Army Reserve base heading towards Newtownards. Bangor Fire Station is nearby aswell, which doubles as Bangor District Headquarters for the NIFRS; There is also an ambulance station and HM Coastguard station on the same site.
This is a mirco magnetic cache and is on paved ground. It is quite low to the ground, so cachers keep that in mind for accessability
