All of the caches on this power trail are small plastic ice cream containers in trees. This should make them accessable even in the snow, but you may need snow shoes for at least half of the year. BYOP and trade items.
Government Gully Road is a popular spot for dispersed camping and hunting. Sadly, there is a lack of hiking/biking trails on this side of the MB National Forest, but the road is easily walked. It's an easy hike if you park near the first cache and there's a great view of the valley and Lake Hattie from this spot. When the gate is closed, you'll have to walk the whole trail. We love the Pole Mountain area so much, but this little strip of land on the south side of the the highway is new to us.
