The Donghaochong Greenway varies quite a lot along its length. Some sections are well-maintained and attractive a decade after the greenway opened; others, especially getting closer to the Zhujiang River where the connections are not as good, are dank and little-used. A common strong feature of the entire greenway is the integration with surrounding streets and communities.
This cache provides an example of the greenway's integration with the surrounding area, just a short walk across Xiaobei Lu to a very popular park. The greenway also directly fronts a leading local middle school in this area.
Last but not least, this is where the greenway connects with the huge Yuexiu Park (越秀公园), at the East Gate.
There is no need to enter the park to grab the cache.
