This cache pays tribute to Tankeninge, an ACT charter member of geocaching.com who has been caching since 9 Feb 2002. Tankengine has not only found a lot of caches but is also known for his high quality and well thought-out hides (16,000+ finds and 900+ active hides at Oct 2020). He has hidden a wide range of caches, always with great coordinates and located in top locations as well as a variety of puzzles and multis and more. Tankengine has seen geocaching grow and develop and his meticulous records of past and present ACT hides is amazing. He has won ACT Cacher of the Year several times, as well as many awards for various caches he has hidden, and he was the first person in the WORLD to find an earthcache. Tankengine is also a FTF Hound and has a great streak of finding a FTF in every month since August 2008. He is also very friendly, often available to provide an extra hint on his hides and many cachers seek him out for general geocaching advice.
