Books to Read Before You Die
In creating this list of books one should read before they die, I hoped to make a cache for each of them. I’ll start with about a dozen, and hopefully add to it every so often. I hope you enjoy the short summaries and will read the book, or remember that you once did. They are all available for free at your public libraries.

The War of the Worlds
The War of the Worlds, science fiction novel by H.G. Wells, first published serially by Pearson’s Magazine in the U.K. and by The Cosmopolitan magazine in the U.S. in 1897. The novel details a catastrophic conflict between humans and extraterrestrial “Martians.” It is considered a landmark work of science fiction, and it has inspired numerous adaptations and imitations.
